Better late then never. Maybe that will help stop everyone from complaining about how PvP gets all the skill balances and what not.

I hope that it is not surprising though. The divide was created ever since titles created /rank epeen, and has remained chasm-esque since.

hopefully this will be good for both PvP and PvE and keep PvE the same as it is now without any more imba skills><

Ummm...you do realize that the imbaskills in PvE (ala Light of Deliverance) will become strong again, right?

This is good they are implementing this. Means that they have advanced the Guild Wars engine far enough to really get the most out of it. I for one, am impressed. GW2 is going to be amazing with the changes we are seeing in GW1 lately. A+ update.

I cannot resist the following: ABOUT ****ING TIME. Thanks!!
It's fairly interesting. I think it's a good way to keep nerfs from hitting PvE badly (like the Watch Yourself! and LoD nerfs) yet keeping up a balance in PvP... and possible PvE as well (I don't mind a change, but sometimes it goes too far).

Actually, there has been a divide ever since they introduced the Balthazar Faction system, ergo allowing players to completely skip PvE, and thus allowing some PvPers (the VERY hardcore, who hate PvE completely (no, that isnt all of us)) to be elitist to the PvEers. Then very hardcore PvEers got frustrated because they take a game too seriously. Then it went from there.
The divide was long widened by the time they introduced a Fame title.

Can't say I bought this game to have seperate spells and skills in PvP and PvE. Not exactly what I was looking for and won't be buying GW2 if this is how they plan on handling things.

Well, hope that WY! revival will be worth another batch of PvE only skills in disguise. (which heroes can use too!).

It takes a lot of courage to admit you've made a mistake it (or at least correct it) after defending your position for so long.

No, it's terrible that people that have experienced primarily only one aspect of the game have yet another reason not to experience the other side of the game. It's just another barrier to overcome in a divide that already is difficult to bridge.

Just WAIT.
ANet basics #1:
The idea is always good, the implementation usually sucks.
I fear they do it like this:
PVE NEEDS POWER IMBA SKILLS THAT MAKE URSAN LOOK WEAK!
This does not make the game better, it makes it shittier.
Maybe they will have TWO sets of skills in GW2.
PvE skills that are balanced and meaningful for PvE things, and PvP skills that work in a competitive environment.
I am sceptical about this.
I would like to see Watch Yourself become useful again for PvE, right.
But do you really trust the guys who were balancing around for three years to get it somewhat right in the end? I have lost almost all faith in their ability.

A while back, people were suggesting that PvE and PvP skills were separated... now it's happening, so why is there still complaining?

I'm sorry but I have to say something... and usually it takes a lot to provoke a reaction from me but... ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME??? You can not possibly be serious. At this point I am honestly just going to write your post off as someone just trying to stir up trouble. I would delete it... but there's just this small part of me that cries to think you may be serious.

By "people" you are referring to 5 to 15%% of the GW population? Maybe less?

No, ANet's basically just decided that everything can be overpowered in PvE, so they don't need to nerf Ursan.
